Started in 2018, Loewen Engineering is a local firm based in Centennial, Colorado. We are committed to meeting needs of our clients. Because of our unique and diversified background working as the designer, contractor and client representatives, we understand your needs and put them first, We are registered as a small business enterprise (SBE) and emerging business enterprise (EBE) with the City and County of Denver, Colorado and an Emerging Small Business (ESB) with Colorado Department of Transportation CDOT.

DRAINAGEWAY DESIGN, RESTORATION AND ANALYSIS

Loewen Engineering, Inc. is experienced in drainageway design/analysis and restoration of channels (specifically in urban Denver Metro areas). Loewen frequently collaborates with the Mile High Flood District and understands the standards and specifications for channel design and stabilization. Loewen Engineering, Inc considers ourselves as stewards of the waterways and water quality. 

FLOODPLAIN PERMITTING 

Loewen Engineering, Inc. can assist with many different types of floodplain permitting inlcuding No-rise certifications, CLOMR/LOMRs, and flood hazard area delineations. Our understanding of the floodplain permitting requirements on a local, state and federal level, help us understand the constraints of the project very early in the process. 

CIVIL DESIGN (SITE GRADING, TRAILS, ROADWAY, PARKS, OPEN SPACE) 

Loewen Engineering, Inc. can prepare civil grading plans and site plan development for many different types of project. This includes Parks and Open Space, commercial/utility and some residential applications. Loewen has strong experience in trail and sidewalk grading/design and has a great understanding of the ADA and PROWAG requirements for pedestrian mobility design. 

PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY STORMWATER QUALITY AND STORMWATER DETENTION DESIGN 

Loewen Engineering, Inc. is familiar with and has completed design of permanent stormwater detention and water quality facilities and understands the state and local requirements. 

Loewen also prepared GESC plans meeting State (COR40000), Federal (EPA SWPPP) and various local municipal requirements for construction BMP plans.  

CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT

Our robust construction experience sets our firm apart from others. We have provided construction inspections and full/part-time observation for many local jurisdiction's projects and take the time to be out in the field for our own projects to make them more successful. This construction background helps us identify issues before they occur. 

Loewen also provides construction take off support and construction cost estimate for budgeting and/or bidding.
