Daniel obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the Colorado School of Mines in 2011 with a Civil Engineering Specialty. Daniel founded Loewen Engineering, Inc. in September 2018. Daniel has over 10 years of experience working on Drainage and Trail design projects in the Denver Metro area. He has built a strong reputation in the industry for his construction background and knowledge of construction processes particularly related to drainage and trail construction. In addition to the construction process, Daniel has experience in hydraulic modeling, channel design (open/natural), geomorphic assessments, infrastructure and water quality/detention.

Elysa obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado School of Mines in 2011 with a Civil Engineering Specialty. She joined Loewen Engineering, Inc. as the firms Vice President in May 2019. She has over ten years of experience in the construction and design industry. Elysa’s work at Loewen Engineering, has been focused on the firm’s municipal projects and stormwater design and compliance. Elysa currently serves as the Pollution Abatement Project Manager for the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority (CCBWQA).
Her experience prior to her current role included a mix of private and public work including large heavy civil construction experience and management of small to large CIP projects for a municipality. She also has a strong background in stormwater permitting and compliance and is a resource for both review and development of permanent and temporary water quality measures.

Kyli has worked for Loewen Engineering since 2019, beginning as an engineering intern and joining fulltime after graduating in 2021. At Loewen Engineering, she has been closely involved in channel design through AutoCAD drafting and has experience with hydraulic analysis using HECRAS for multiple projects. A previous internship in soils and construction materials has also given Kyli a strong understanding of construction observation and testing.

Kevin started with Loewen Engineering, in 2022. Kevin worked as a materials technician after graduating prior to beginning his employment at Loewen. During Kevin’s first year with L

Kevin started with Loewen Engineering, in 2022. Kevin worked as a materials technician after graduating prior to beginning his employment at Loewen. During Kevin’s first year with Loewen he has completed bank stabilization designs for MHFD as well as a LOMR submittal for Jefferson County regarding a culvert replacement. In Kevin’s young career, he has been exposed to many aspects of stormwater engineering and continues to build his skills. Kevin is an asset to any project and continues to expand his skill sets.

Pieter’s experience includes an internship at the Mile High Flood District since 2021 prior to joining the Loewen Engineering Team. Pieter is currently the Co-Chair for the Colorado Association of Stormwater and Floodplain Managers Young Member Group helping make connections for young stormwater professionals in Colorado. He is an asset to Loewen Engineering, Inc with his experience understanding MHFD standard and specifications, geomorphology, and design for stormwater facilities.
